ADR (Australian Design Rules)

ADR compliance refers to the process of adhering to the regulations set out in the Australian Design Rules (ADR). These rules cover the standards for the design, construction, and safety of motor vehicles and trailers. Every installation that Advanced Mobile IT undertakes goes through rigorous ADR testing with specialty certifiers and documentation created and, where required, provided to our customers.

Modifications to motor vehicles in Australia must be ADR-compliant to ensure that they remain safe and roadworthy. Any modification to a vehicle that affects its performance, handling, or safety must be approved, tested and certified that it complies with relevant ADR regulations.

To ensure compliance with ADR regulations, we work with qualified engineers familiar with these regulations to provide advice on how to install and modify vehicles safely and legally. Failure to comply with ADR regulations for modifications can result in fines, penalties, and even criminal charges in some cases, and may also affect the safety of the vehicle and its occupants.

Compliance with ADR regulations is enforced by the Australian government through the Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development, and Communications.
